“We cater to every market that’s why we continue to innovate every project. We are obliged to innovate our designs considering the big players in the industry,” Kisan Lu president Kristin Lu said.
Catering to low, middle and high income markets, Kisan Lu maintains its prestige through the quality, cost, locations, and designs of its houses, and the entirety of its subdivisions.
Presently led by Lu’s young generation with architectural background, Kisan Lu’s on-going projects have themes. For high-end houses, these are the Thai-inspired Amiya Resorts Residences, and the Balinese living in Twin Palms.
Its middle cost housing is the Zen-themed Bambu Estate, while the low-cost are the Mediterranean-inspired subdivisions Santiago Villas and Villa Kareena.
Unveiled last March 9 at Mintal, Davao City were the two-storey house models of Bambu Estate: Nori, Maki, Yumi and Aiko. Each has a total lot area of 150 square meters.
What has changed in Kisan Lu in more than two decades is its innovation of designs, according to Andrew P. Bautista, sales and marketing director. “We continue to explore and go out of Davao City and the country to create new designs for our houses,” he added.
Because of this practice, vice president for operations Ramesis Michael A. Lu said, Kisan Lu was the first to bring in an Asian inspired subdivision in the city, which is the Amiya, with wellness as its prime advantage.
Bautista pointed to the change in the characteristic of the market. “They go around before they buy. People choose Kisan Lu because we are selling lifestyles and dreams of people,” he said.
Kisan Lu also hires consultants whose works are known worldwide, he added, such as the groups of Lopez and Arellano, and TCGI.
“We really spend for consultants,” Ramesis Lu said. Instead of subcontracting the constuction of houses, Kisan Lu administers it to be consistent with the designs, Bautista said.
“We administer it ourselves so we can assure the quality. We have our in-house constructors. We try to get our own construction equipment and machineries,” he added.
